Good To Know: Giacomo Fenocchio is based in Barolo, in Piedmonte region of Italy. It is a family cared for vineyard passed down from five generations. Now, the current estate is owned and ran by Claudio Fenocchio with his brothers and house winemaker. Making sure to not only maintain but also improve the quality.
The Giacomo Fenocchio Barolo Bussia 2010 is a standout expression from one of Barolo’s most revered crus. Crafted using traditional methods with a long maceration and aging in large Slavonian oak casks, this 100% Nebbiolo wine delivers depth, structure, and elegance. The bouquet is rich and layered, offering aromas of violet, incense, crushed cherry, licorice, and balsamic hints. On the palate, it is powerful and refined, with dense tannins, fresh acidity, and a long, persistent finish. Now entering its peak, the 2010 vintage promises further evolution in the cellar until around 2040. It pairs beautifully with hearty dishes like braised meats, truffle risotto, and aged cheeses, making it an excellent choice for both collectors and Barolo enthusiasts.
