Paride Iaretti Gattinara Vigna Valferana 2019 is a single-vineyard Nebbiolo that reflects the character of one of Gattinara’s most distinctive crus. Sourced from volcanic-porphyry soils rich in iron crystals, the wine is fermented in stainless steel with a 30-day maceration and gentle extraction, then aged for 12 months in tonneaux followed by 24 months in large Slavonian oak casks. It shows a garnet-red hue with orange reflections and opens with delicate floral aromas of rose and violet alongside notes of dried red fruits, graphite, and a savory, ferrous minerality. On the palate, it is elegant, structured, and deeply expressive, with refined tannins, vibrant acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish. This wine captures the soul of Gattinara’s volcanic terroir and offers both finesse and age-worthiness.
