Paride Iaretti Colline Novaresi DOC Nebbiolo 2022 offers a refined and expressive interpretation of Nebbiolo from Alto Piemonte’s volcanic soils. Sourced from vineyards in Briona, the grapes are hand-harvested and fermented in stainless steel with a short maceration, followed by malolactic fermentation and aging for 12 months in French oak barriques. The wine shows a ruby red hue with garnet reflections and opens with elegant aromas of violet, iris, red berries, marasca cherry, dried herbs, and warm spices. On the palate, it is fresh and silky, with fine-grained tannins, lively acidity, and a long, mineral-driven finish. Paride Iaretti’s version captures Nebbiolo’s signature structure and fragrance in a more approachable and food-friendly style, offering a compelling alternative to its more famous cousins from Barolo and Barbaresco.
