Good to Know: The estate was first established in the middle of the nineteenth century, but Amédée Merme spent much of the first decade of the 20th century organizing and growing the vineyard. Together with his son Armand, they worked to make high-quality wines in order to protect the estate's reputation in France and elsewhere. Marie-France Merme and her husband Henri Perrot-Minot carried on her father Armand's work in the 1970s. The estate was renamed Perrot-Minot after Marie-France and Henri took over management following Armand's passing.
After seven years as a wine dealer, their son, Christophe Perrot-Minot, joined the estate and became manager in 1993. His past expertise had given him an in-depth understanding and true command of wine cultivation.
The Domaine Perrot-Minot Chambolle Musginy Orveaux des Bussieres Vieilles Vignes came from vines of 100 years of age. The presence of substantial marl and clay in this soil promotes profound rooting. The plot is situated in the northern region of Chambolle Musigny. Given the composition of its soil and its considerable age, this plot is characterized by intricate aromas and a rich texture.
