Good to know: Château Clerc Milon is an incredible wine estate located in the beautiful region of Haut-Médoc, just north of Bordeaux city. It has a fascinating history, being tied to the renowned Seigneuries of Lafite and Mouton, which are future First Classified Growths owned by different branches of the Rothschild family.
Originally, Château Clerc Milon was acquired by the Clerc family after it was sold as a national asset following the French Revolution. Now, it stands proudly on the "left bank" of the Gironde estuary, creating exceptional wines in the Pauillac appellation.
In the prestigious 1855 Classification of the Médoc and Graves, Château Clerc Milon was given a fifth growth rating. However, its wines are truly outstanding and often considered a great value for the appellation.
One of their notable wines is the Pastourelle Clerc Milon. This beauty boasts a garnet red color with a shimmering ruby hue. At first, it has a subtle and refined nose, but after a little time to breathe, it bursts open with delightful aromas of brandied morello cherries intertwined with hints of pepper and mint.
With a strong and robust start, the mid-palate offers a rich and harmonious experience. The flavors are tightly knit together, creating a truly memorable taste sensation.
