Good to Know: The estate was first established in the middle of the nineteenth century, but Amédée Merme spent much of the first decade of the 20th century organizing and growing the vineyard. Together with his son Armand, they worked to make high-quality wines in order to protect the estate's reputation in France and elsewhere. Marie-France Merme and her husband Henri Perrot-Minot carried on her father Armand's work in the 1970s. The estate was renamed Perrot-Minot after Marie-France and Henri took over management following Armand's passing.
After seven years as a wine dealer, their son, Christophe Perrot-Minot, joined the estate and became manager in 1993. His past expertise had given him an in-depth understanding and true command of wine cultivation.
The Domaine Perrot-Minot Grevrey Chambertin Justice des Seuvres 2018 arose from vines of 45 years of age. Two climates share characteristics of a clayey limestone soil, seamlessly blending strength and delicacy. This mature, dignified and polished cuvée is identified by the fragrances of orange peel, spices, pepper along with hints of iron.
