Good to Know: Domaine Hubert Lamy started in 1973 but developed greatly in the 1990s. Formerly, Pinot Noir were present in the vineyard but it has been replanted with Chardonnay as decided by Hubert Lamy.
Lamy owns 2.4 hectares of land in the prestigious 1er Cru Les Frionnes vineyard. The vines were planted in 1935, 1960, and 1985 on a southeast-facing site with old, decomposed limestone and clay soils, as well as an abundance of small rocks in the topsoil. Situated next to the Derrière chez Edouard site, this terroir is slightly warmer, resulting in an earlier harvest. Les Frionnes produces wines with a perfect balance of pulpy fruit and vibrant, saline freshness, accompanied by a dense, rocky structure.
