Good to Know: Domaine Hubert Lamy started in 1973 but developed greatly in the 1990s. Formerly, Pinot Noir were present in the vineyard but it has been replanted with Chardonnay as decided by Hubert Lamy.
Clos du Meix, a 0.7-hectare parcel owned by Lamy, was planted between 1985 and 1995 and is located on the western edge of the village at an elevation of 300 meters. Situated just below Derrière chez Edouard, the vineyard benefits from its sheltered position, heavy clay soils, and enclosed wall that protects it from cold, northern winds. These factors contribute to the wine's exceptional texture and intense minerality. Despite the clay-rich topsoil, the vine roots quickly encounter hard limestone just 30cm below the surface, resulting in an "electric" quality in the wine.
