Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton in 2025. We guarantee that Txanton stocks are imported and maintained in proper storage within the correct temperature and humidity suitable for wine.

Good To Know: Credited for producing the first ever Tokaji Aszu, Oremus' history dates all the way back to the 1600's. The winery is located in Tolcsva where its underground cellars that date back all the way to the 13th century, store and age their naturally and incredibly sweet Tokaji wines.

Oremus Mandolás Furmint 2022 is a vibrant dry white wine from Hungary’s Tokaj region, crafted by the renowned Vega Sicilia group to showcase the modern expression of the native Furmint grape. Fermented in oak barrels and matured on its lees, it reveals fresh aromas of green apple, pear, citrus, and white flowers, with subtle mineral and oak notes adding depth. On the palate, its bright acidity is balanced by a smooth texture and elegant complexity, leading to a clean, refined finish that reflects the volcanic terroir of Tokaj.

Purchased in 1993 by the Alvarez family of the world renowned Vega Sicilia winery in Spain, Oremus has 33 hectares (81 acres) of vineyards. The estate's location has a continental microclimate and together with the nearby confluence of two rivers provide the ideal conditions that make it possible for their grapes to be affected by botrytis. The winemaking process practiced by Oremus has remained unchanged and has been used in the region for hundreds of years. The Aszú and Eszencia (both botrytis affected wines, require a slow fermentation process and years of aging in small barrels before release. Apart from their sweet wines, Oremus also produces a single dry wine from Furmint called Mandolás.
