Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton in 2025. We guarantee that Txanton stocks are imported and maintained in proper storage within the correct temperature and humidity suitable for wine.
Good to know: Early in 2000, Rene Barbier purchased Partida Pedrer and together with his wife, Sara Perez (daughter of Jose Luis Perez - one of the "Priorat Five" who are known for reviving and promoting the Priorat region,) planted Garnatxa Negre and officially established Rene I Sara Viticultors Partida Pedrer. The location is famed for its amazing llicorella soils (unique to Priorat) and is ideally suited for the producing incredibly ripe and complex wines. It is also situated near several noteworthy, historical vineyards in the area.
Officially established in 2001, Partida Pedrer wines are produced and bottled without additives and is fermented and aged in cement vessels for 16 months in place of oak. Apart from Rene I Sara Viticultors Partida Pedrer. Sara Perez also runs the world renowned Mas Martinet winery and 2 other projects together with her husband Rene.
