Prazo de Roriz is a vibrant red wine known for its fresh raspberry and cherry flavors, accented by the distinctive minerality and peppery spice of the Quinta de Roriz terroir. Sourced also from the nearby Quinta da Perdiz vineyard, it's crafted to be enjoyed young, while still offering the potential to age gracefully for a few years.

Quinta de Roriz Prazo de Roriz 2022 is an expressive, inviting red wine crafted by Prats & Symington from the historic Quinta de Roriz estate (alongside Quinta da Perdiz) in the Cima Corgo of Portugal’s D.O.C. Douro. Conceived to showcase early accessibility, purity of fruit, and regional elegance, it is built around a quintessential Douro blend of Touriga Franca, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, and Tinta Barroca, aged for roughly six months in seasoned 400-liter French oak barrels to polish its edges while preserving its youthful vibrancy. The nose is lifted, fragrant, and inviting, unfurling with aromas of fresh raspberries, ripe red cherries, and dark plums interwoven with violet blossoms, wild rockrose (esteva), a touch of eucalyptus, and cool crushed-schist minerality. On the palate, it strikes an effortless balance between medium-bodied juiciness and refined structure—delivering a supple, fleshy core of red and dark berry fruit framed by sleek, fine-grained tannins and energetic Douro acidity, cruising into a clean, lightly peppery, and delightfully savory finish.
