Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton over 2025. We guarantee Txanton stocks are imported and maintained on a proper storage with right temperature and humidity.
Good to know: Pierre Labet Estate in Beaune has its roots in the city from 15th century. The estate administration center was set at Notre Dame Bastion, impressive building constructed by Vauban on the old city surrounding ramparts
Grand father of current proprietors was the city mayor for period between two world wars and developed this vineyard which covers nowadays 10 hectares at Beaune in different climates, at Savigny les Beaune, at Meursault, Gevrey Chambertin and at Chorey les Beaune where is the vine that produce our red Bourgogne.
While favoring integrated struggle (for organic products) and low yields, the Estate qualitative policy favors natural qualities of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay varieties stemming our own selection (no cloning).
Wines, coming from vinified juice of hand-picked grapes, are matured and bottled at Chateau de la Tour from Clos de Vougeot, another property of the family.
Selective sorting, whole harvest, pre-fermentative maceration, long fermentation, no use of heterogeneous yeasts, such are major principles for making Great Wines.
Judicious choice of new wood, manual decantations, putting in bottle by gravity with no filtration, all such operations will give to lovers a unique bottle.
Pierre Labet Meursault Les Tillets 2022 is a refined expression of high-altitude Chardonnay, offering elegance, freshness, and a strong mineral character. Sourced from limestone-rich soils in the upper slopes of Meursault, the wine is barrel-fermented and aged to highlight its purity and finesse. It opens with aromas of pear, green apple, and acacia blossom, complemented by subtle notes of toast and a chalky undertone. On the palate, it is taut and vibrant, with lively acidity, a silky texture, and a long, saline finish. This Meursault is both approachable and age-worthy, making it an ideal pairing for shellfish, scallops, lobster, or creamy poultry dishes.
