Decanting Time: decant for 30 minutes to 1 hour and serve at 18°C.
Our suggestion for decanting time is based on bottles we tried at Txanton over 2024. We guarantee Txanton stocks are imported and maintained on a proper storage with right temperature and humidity.
Good to know: this wine is conceived with the intention of showing the concentration, complexity and potential of the grapes and vineyards in the area (most of them are pre-phylloxera vines). The wine talks for itself, and it is strong and intense with a long and fresh aftertaste.
Its matured for 16 months in oak and shows a bright cherry colour. Intensely perfumed with complex aromas of ripe raspberries and blackberries interlaced with lavender, rosemary and chamomile on a delicate backdrop of spices and smoky oak. In the palate it shows excellent balance and energy with red and dark berry flavours followed by floral and delicately spiced nuances. It is a very seductive and balanced wine with beautifully well integrated and fine grained mature tannins that has a very balanced and lingering finish.
Bodegas Dominio de Atauta is inspired in the tradition of a valley with over five centuries of winemaking in extreme conditions, resulting from its 1000 meters altitude and a climate with little rainfall and large temperature fluctuations.
On this basis, the philosophy followed by Bodegas Dominio de Atauta since its inception has been of nurturing the fruit grown in the vineyard throughout the entire cycle and carrying out a careful intervention in the winery.
With the pass of the years and the addition of a fine human factor to the unique conditions of the terroir, the wines of Dominio de Atauta have carved a niche among some of the most renowned wines in such a famous Denomination of Origin as Ribera del Duero.
