Good to know: Domaine Economou is one of the most sought after producers of Greece for its artisanal wines. Yiannis Economu, the outstanding wine maker has an oenology degree from Milan. He had years of work in Germany, Bordeaux (Chateau Margaux) and Piedmont under the guidance of Nebbiolo maestros. He then returned to Crete, Greece in 1994 where Domaine Economou is now rooted.

The PGI Crete Assyrtiko 2014 can be drank immediately or kept for up to 2026.

It is soft and perfectly balanced. It has flavors of honey, cumin and gunpowder. A medium-bodied wine with high acidity and long and complex finish.

Best Paired with almost every dish including steak.
