Good to Know: Highly celebrated by both compatriots and the wine community as one of Burgundy's rising stars, David Duband now has 20 vintages of experience under his name. His expansion of his family's domaine now include exceptional plots in both Gevrey Chambertin and Morey Saint Denis. Also, in 2006, David Duband opted to convert his his domaine into 100% organic farming, primarily for his respect and care for the environment as well as to create intrinsic quality wines.
Domaine David Duband places a strong emphasis in both harvesting and winemaking using traditional Burgundian methods. Harvest is done entirely by hand and crushing done by foot press. Beginning 2008, David Duband also places an emphasis in whole cluster fermentation which gives his wines more structure and finesse.
The Domaine David Duband Nuits-Saint-Georges 1er Cru "Les Proces" showcases a vibrant vermilion color with deep reflections. Its expansive bouquet features notes of blackcurrant, coffee, and Morello cherry. On the palate, the wine is robust with bold tannins and a touch of spice. Pair this expressive wine with dishes such as Limousin calf liver or Wagyu beef for a truly melodious culinary experience.
