Starting 1983, Andrea Costanti took over and inherited a large part of the few distinguished labels of quality in Montalcino at the time. As the years went by, he has developed an aromatic variety of the wines as much as he could. This in return has rewarded him with richer aromas even with extreme ranges in temperature.
The 2019 Conti Costanti Brunello di Montalcino Riserva is a powerful yet elegant wine crafted only in exceptional vintages from the estate’s oldest Sangiovese vines. Aged for four years—split between French tonneaux, large Slavonian oak casks, and bottle—it reveals a complex aromatic profile of violet, rose, wild cherry, mint, licorice, and earthy notes. The palate is vibrant and refined, with bright acidity, polished tannins, and a long, savory finish. This Riserva showcases the estate’s classic style, combining depth and structure with finesse, making it ideal for aging and perfect for pairing with rich Tuscan cuisine.
