Good To Know: The family and producer behind Azienda Agricola F.lli Cigliuti has always made sure to pay special attention to detail. They give importance to skill, passion, knowledge of terroir and sensitivity when it comes to these wines. All four generations has produced wines with precision and skill which resulted to 30,000 bottles a year.
These wines had been aged for 25-55 years in Slavonian oak casks and French oak mild-sized casks. These were fermented in steel vats which are had well controlled temperatures.
The wine is best served with roast and braised red meats, game, truffle dishes and mature cheeses.
The 2015 Cigliuti Barbaresco Serraboella is a refined and expressive Nebbiolo from the prestigious Serraboella cru in Neive, made from vines aged between 25 and 55 years. Fermented with indigenous yeasts and aged for 26 months—primarily in large Slavonian oak casks with a portion in French tonneaux—this Barbaresco reveals an elegant bouquet of cherry, violets, tobacco, and spice. The palate is both powerful and graceful, offering depth, bright acidity, and polished tannins that lead to a long, complex finish. This vintage captures the classic structure and age-worthy finesse that define Cigliuti’s wines.
