Good to know: From the vantage point of Saint-Julien's plateau, one can easily observe Château Talbot nestled amidst a picturesque landscape of vineyards, parks, and towering trees.
The estate holds a storied past, named after Connétable Talbot, the Earl of Shrewsbury and esteemed English military leader who served as the governor of Guyenne and met his defeat at the battle of Castillon in 1453.
In 1855, during Emperor Napoleon III's classification of Médoc and Graves growth, Château Talbot was recognized as a fourth classified growth within the Saint-Julien region. Having been under the ownership of the Marquis of Aux for several years, it was eventually acquired by Désiré Cordier in 1918.
Connétable, a Médoc second wine, was first introduced in the 1970s and has since undergone meticulous vineyard management and strict selection processes to enhance its quality. Similar to its predecessor, this wine boasts a classic elegance, with a precise structure and a lingering, refreshing finish.
