Good to know: Château Brane-Cantenac is a renowned wine producer of remarkable elegance. It began 250 years ago with a former grower named “Hostein” back in the 18th century, later on bought by the Gorce family who produced the wines before 1855. Henri Lurton took over back in 1992 and has continued the journey his ancestors began. Keeping the tradition and values alive, innovation and technology is carefully incorporated in wine production.
The Brane Cantenac 2005 wine experienced a gradual budding in late March, followed by an early flowering in May. This resulted in fewer grape bunches compared to the previous year due to excellent pollination and fruit setting. Anticipating a drought, extensive green harvesting was carried out before the grapes changed color in mid-July, during a very dry summer. The cool nights facilitated the synthesis of phenolic components. September and October were outstanding months with no rainfall. Harvest commenced under ideal conditions, showcasing very high sugar levels, low yields, perfect health of the grapes, and favorable weather.
Indulge in the captivating Brane Cantenac 2005, a wine that is not only explosive and complex but also exudes suave elegance.
