Good to Know: Domaine Albert Mann is a renowned family-run estate in Wettolsheim, Alsace, formed from the union of the Mann and Barthelmé families, with winemaking roots dating back to the 17th century. Today, brothers Maurice and Jacky Barthelmé lead the domaine, which spans around 25 hectares, including several prestigious Grand Cru vineyards. Fully certified organic and biodynamic, the estate emphasizes soil health, biodiversity, and minimal intervention to produce pure, terroir-driven wines. Known for its exceptional Rieslings, Pinot Gris, Gewurztraminer, and elegant Pinot Noirs, Albert Mann is widely regarded as one of Alsace’s benchmark producers, earning critical acclaim for its precision, balance, and commitment to sustainable viticulture.

Albert Mann Riesling Schlossberg Grand Cru 2022 is a biodynamic, single-vineyard white wine that captures the purity and mineral intensity of the granitic soils of the Schlossberg terroir in Alsace. Sourced from 45-year-old vines on northeast-facing terraces, it offers a vibrant bouquet of citrus blossom, grapefruit zest, quince, and stewed pineapple, accented by wet slate and saline minerality. The palate is precise and energetic, with sharp acidity, rich extract, and a fine phenolic grip that gives structure and depth, leading to a long, savory finish. Fermented with native yeasts and aged on fine lees.
This dry Riesling is both gastronomic and age-worthy, ideal alongside oysters, scallop carpaccio, lobster, or salt cod, and will develop beautifully in bottle over several years.
